Our Story

Flight Coffee was born in a garage in 2009 and now fuels coffee lovers across Aotearoa. We’re a crew of coffee nerds on a mission: to make great coffee simple, and to do it in a way that actually does good. From our Wellington café and roastery to our sourcing partner Raw Material, we obsess over every detail, so you don’t have to. You’ll find us in homes, high-volume cafés, offices, on shelves, and even in a can. Our coffee’s got personality, purpose, and punch. We’re here for a good time and a long time, and we’re just getting started.

B2C

We’re here to make great coffee simple, wherever you brew it. Flight’s range has everything you need for a killer cup at home; whole beans, compostable pods, cold brew cans, instant coffee (that’s actually good), and single-serve drip bags. Looking to level up? We’ve got home espresso machines, grinders, and gear to match. Add some merch to your order while you’re at it. All roasted fresh in Wellington and shipped across Aotearoa. No stress, no fluff. Just damn good coffee, however you take it.

B2B

If you’re after a wholesale coffee partner who’s got your back and knows how to brew a mean flat white, we’re it. Flight offers wholesale coffee partnerships backed by real support; including barista training, equipment models to suit your setup, and help with branding that actually makes an impression. Whether you’re starting out or scaling up, we work with you to create a coffee program that fits. Our blends are bold, our service is sharp, and we’re here to make things easy, because good coffee should be the simplest part of your day.

Location

The Hangar

Flight Coffee's flagship location, The Hangar, began its journey in 2012 as the home base for the company's roasting and wholesale operations. True to Flight Coffee's unconventional spirit, the venture started in a car park before evolving into something special. The space was transformed with warm macrocarpa timber lining the walls, an espresso bar running along one side, and a roaster positioned at the back.

Located in Wellington, the Hangar serves as more than just a coffee shop - it's a place where Flight Coffee shares their roasting and brewing expertise with the people who drink their coffee. It's a hub for specialty coffee events from producer led tastings to latte art classes.

Sustainability

At Flight Coffee we believe great coffee should do great things. That’s why we built our own sourcing network, Raw Material, to create fairer, more stable incomes for coffee producers around the world. It means better prices, stronger relationships, and real impact where it matters most. We also keep things close to home; using efficient roasting equipment, reducing packaging waste, and constantly improving our environmental footprint. Whether it’s composting coffee grounds or supporting community-led projects at origin, we’re here for a good time and a long time. Because tasty coffee should leave a good taste all round.

Careers

At Nomad, we believe great coffee starts with great people. Whether you're behind the roaster, behind the bar, or behind the scenes, you’ll find a place where your contribution matters. We’re proud to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work®, recognising the inclusive, supportive, and purpose-driven culture we’ve built together. With roles across roasting, retail, sales, marketing, training, operations and more, there’s plenty of room to grow your career, your way.
